On Thursday, May 11, William McDonough will welcome participants at the Copenhagen Fashion Summit with an inspirational talk on Cradle to Cradle, the Circular Economy and what he calls The Five Goods. McDonough will share insight about Fashion for Good, the newly-launched movement toward positive design for the fashion industry, as well as display the first-ever Cradle to Cradle™ Certified GOLD T-shirts launched last week by C&A. The T-shirts provide real examples of the potential for affordable, sustainable fashion garments for the masses.
What McDonough calls ‘The Five Goods’ (Good materials, Good economy, Good energy, Good water, Good lives) is based on Cradle to Cradle® and aims to help companies to focus, funnel and evaluate their efforts along those categories, while enabling the users to innovate and scale their efforts.
The 2017 Summit is focused on providing solutions and tangible outcomes under the collaboration of leading voices and innovative minds who will share their view on businesses and new solutions to the pressing challenges facing the fashion industry. Watch the live event stream here.
