In the latest installment of the The McDonough Conversations, William McDonough and Joel Makower discuss the major themes of the 2015 World Economic Forum in Davos that took place last month, in a two part interview.
Many of the programs that took place at Davos 2015 were related to Cradle to Cradle and the circular economy. The number of sessions that discussed these themes compared to previous years has grown. One program in particular that stood out to McDonough, was “Wasteless Supply Chains.” Peter Bakker, head of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development, moderated a conversation that focused on the EU circular economy policy, in which this group took out circular economy from the EU legislation in effort to “introduce an even more robust version.” Seeing Cradle to Cradle and circular economy becoming mainstream after several years, was a delight for McDonough.
